To all SCHS JUNIORS interested in NC Governor's School, Each summer, selected students are invited to NC Gov School to help build a learning community. Students are encouraged to explore and ask questions in the pursuit of knowledge to complement their high school instruction, without the regular pressures of tests, scores, or GPAs. While individual achievement and growth are always addressed, Gov School emphasizes cooperative and collective efforts, ranging from orchestral and choral music to partnered experiments and whole-class projects.  Please see the attached flyer and links below for all information regarding program details, the application process, and eligibility requirements. • NC Gov School Program & Family Overview: https://shorturl.at/l3L0t • MAIN North Carolina Governor's School Website: https://shorturl.at/ixTYq • NC Gov School Application Information: https://shorturl.at/NUdIX • Student Eligibility Guidelines: https://shorturl.at/NDPGU • Student Application Checklist & Review Guide: https://shorturl.at/b0hQc • OFFICIAL Student Application Form: https://www.dpi.nc.gov/gs-application/download?attachment • OFFICIAL Recommendation Form: https://www.dpi.nc.gov/gs-recommendation-form/download?attachment (Teachers must email their completed rec forms DIRECTLY to C. Walmart’s Hurricane Helene Information page, which provides up-to-date details on store and club closures. You’ll also find information on how we’re supporting local communities with essential supplies and relief efforts as these resources become available. Walmart, Sam's Club, and the Walmart Foundation are committing an initial $6 million in support of hurricane relief efforts, including donations of food, water, essential supplies, and grants to organizations providing relief to these devastated areas. As part of this commitment, Walmart will match customer donations to the American Red Cross 1:1, up to $2.5 million, when they donate to support hurricane relief at the registers in stores and clubs and on Walmart.com from Oct. 1 – Oct. 13. We are committed to working together to ensure that those affected have the support they need. To stay informed, please use this link for real-time updates on our current relief activities. https://corporate.walmart.com/purpose/community/disaster-response/hurricane-helene
