
Tonight is Senior Family Night from 5:30 to 6:30 in the high school media center. At this meeting advisors will review the senior year timeline, review college application steps, overview financial aid options, and review various resources and upcoming events.
This meeting is an important opportunity for all senior families and guardians to familiarize yourselves with your student's college or career steps, understand your role, and ask any questions you may have.


Class of '26 Updates ---- 36 seniors talked with representatives from over 30 different universities from across the southeast during Monday's CACRAO College Fair at the Ramsey Center. Maroon Devil Seniors also toured WCU's campus and enjoyed lunch at the Courtyard Dining Hall.
Please join us for SENIOR PARENT NIGHT on Thursday, September 11 at 5:30 in the SCHS Media Center. All information from this meeting will ALSO be posted in the Class of 2026 Google Classroom hosted by Senior Counselor Anna Roland. Parents & Guardians, please ASK your SENIOR to "invite" you to join this Google Classroom so you have access to important information for ALL seniors (graduation, yearbook, careers, college, financial aid, etc.).

The Swain County Schools Afterschool Program application will open on Friday, August 8, at 9:00 a.m. Families interested in enrolling their child are encouraged to complete the application promptly, as spaces are limited.

Important announcement for Swain High parents and students!
The official drop-in hours for Open House on August 14th are from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.


Device pickup will start on Tuesday, August 5th, and run through Friday, August 8th. Drop-in hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in the Swain High Media Center.
Incoming Freshmen will report on Tuesday, Sophomores on Wednesday, Juniors on Thursday, and Seniors on Friday. Students will also be able to receive their device during Open House on August 14th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Registration will be required before you can pick up your Chromebook. School staff will check that all Technology agreements have been signed and submitted electronically before your student will be able to receive their device.
To enroll your student, please go online to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and fill out the online registration forms. More information can be found on the Swain High Facebook page or Swain County Schools main website, under the “For Parents” tab.




This Wednesday, July 23rd, Prestige Portraits will be in the SCHS Swain Arts Center for 2025/2026 Yearbook photos!
Please sign up prior on www.prestigeportraits.com.
The cost is $30 for the Essential Session and $20 for the Mini Session.
Prestige will provide black drapes and tuxedos for all portraits. Students are required to wear a plain white t-shirt and bring two casual outfits for non-formal portraits.
